We are delighted to announce that our Application for Candidacy in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme submitted on April 1, 2017 has been approved by the International Baccalaureate Organization!
This means that from 1 September 2017 the school gains the status of a candidate school for the IB Diploma Program and commences preparation for authorization.
This process will take at least 2 years. Our teachers will start international training and work on creating curriculum in line with the IBO guidelines. After the verification visit and the final report from IBO our school will be authorized to offer the Diploma Programme.
The two-year International Baccalaureate Program will cover the second and third grade of high school. The program will be delivered in English (apart from Polish language classes). In the IB system, the student chooses three subjects at Higher Level (HL) and three at Standard Level (SL). Core components of the program are: the course of theTheory of Knowledge (TOK), CAS (Creativity, Action, Service) and a compulsory essay (Extended Essay).
Mandatory subjects in the Diploma Programme in our school will be native language, English and Mathematics. International Matura is awarded in English. Of course, the Polish language and the second foreign language (eg French and German). The International Diploma is honoured all over the world. It is also the ticket to the most prestigious universities.
Once the organization has determined that the school is working as IB recommends, we will receive the IB World School status, a logo will appear on our website, and our school name will be listed among thousands of other institutions around the world.
Our school is planning meetings for parents interested in learning in the IB DP Program. Information about these meetings will be provided on our website.
